Our Mission

We seek to share the love of Jesus Christ, serve families in need, and build up believers in their service and relationship with God.

Our Values

We believe our church exists because of Jesus Christ.

We seek to lead people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ

We emphasize teaching the Word of God to bring people to maturity in Jesus Christ.

We encourage people to minister in the love of Jesus Christ wherever God leads.

Who We Are

We are a congregation of English and Spanish speaking followers of Christ in San Francisco, between the Portola and Excelsior neighborhoods.  Many in our congregation have a Central American background, but people of a variety of races and backgrounds worship with us each Sunday and throughout the week.  We offer all of our programs in English and Spanish so that we may minister to the entire family.  We thank God for this ministry, as it lets us experience the divine unity within the body of Christ.

We are also active members of American Baptist Churches, USA, Growing Healthy Churches, and the Convencion Hispana de GHC.  We are very involved in giving and ministering to our community and the world as a whole.

Our church has been involved in the Portola / Excelsior valley for over 50 years, moving to our present location in 1962.  Our Spanish congregation began in 1968.

Our pastor is the Rev. Elias Castillo, who began to serve our congregation in 1994.  We also have an associate pastor, Rev. David Ankcorn who began in 1999.
